This role is based in India but carries an international remit, owning logistics and customs for Pharmanovia's trade lanes between India and our markets across Europe, LATAM, APAC and MEA. It covers both directions of flow: exports of finished product out of India to these regions, and imports of materials and goods back into India. The Logistics & Customs Manager leads a distributed, international team, including logistics colleagues based in Europe who report into this role, and works closely with regional supply chain leads, the CMO team, Quality and Finance across every market we trade with. The role owns the relationship with customs agents, freight forwarders and warehouse partners in each of these regions. The successful candidate will bring hands-on knowledge of Indian customs and trade rules, a working understanding of customs and trade compliance in Europe and other key regions, and a solid grounding in pharmaceutical distribution and Good Distribution Practice (GDP). They will be comfortable managing people and priorities across time zones and cultures, keeping shipments compliant and moving in every direction. The role reports to the Senior Logistics and Customs Manager, is based in India, and involves regular collaboration with, and occasional travel to, our teams and partners across Europe, LATAM, APAC and MEA. As Pharmanovia's international operations grow, the responsibilities of this role may evolve to meet the changing needs of the business.
Team Leadership & Development · Lead and mentor a team of management accountants, promoting continuous professional growth and high performance. Financial Operations Oversight · Manage daily accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, cost categorization, and cash postings. Financial Reporting · Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insights to senior management. Strategic Collaboration · Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver strategic financial insights that inform decision-making. Process Improvement · Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in financial processes and systems. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management · Monitor adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls, implementing measures to mitigate risks. Budgeting & Planning · Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting processes, offering financial analysis and recommendations to support business objectives. Stakeholder Communication · Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and variance analysis. Industry Awareness · Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, providing insights for continuous improvement. Subject Matter Expertise · Serve as a trusted advisor on financial matters, offering guidance and support to the finance team and other stakeholders.
